Organizer: The Hong Kong International Literary Festival

What's better way to close a literary festival than a moonlit autumn evening of love poetry?

On Nov 15, Hong Kong International Literary Festival invites audience to hear readings by acclaimed Hong Kong poets and guests from elsewhere, both live and live-streamed, including Marilyn Chin, Srikanth Reddy, Mary Jean Chan, Tammy Ho Lai Ming, Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai, Marco Yan, Collier Nogues, Jason Lee, Akin Jeje and Cheng Tim Tim. Rising stars from Hong Kong secondary schools will also read their work as Marilyn Chin announces the student winners of the Urban Love Poem Contest.

Srikanth Reddy, Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Chicago, will be joining the closing event of the 20th Hong Kong International Literary Festival virtually.

Reddy’s latest book of poetry is Underworld Lit (Wave Books 2020). He is the author of Voyager, named one of the best books of poetry in 2011 by The New Yorker; and his first collection, Facts for Visitors, won the 2005 Asian American Literary Award for Poetry. Reddy’s poetry and criticism have appeared in Harper’s, The Guardian (UK), The New York Times, Poetry, and numerous other venues.
