On February 3, the Social Enterprise Initiative (SEI) at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business will host a faculty lecture and conversation in Hong Kong on raising capital for new ventures, with a focus on social enterprises. The event is free and open to the public and is cosponsored by the GoodLab HK.

To open the event, Booth Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship, Waverly Deutsch will present best practices for pitching to investors. She will then lead a panel of Hong Kong investors to discuss effective strategies for raising money in Asia, the US, and in the social sector in particular.

Joining Professor Deutsch are Francis Ngai, Founder and CEO of Social Venture Hong Kong (SVhk); Cindy Chow, Executive Director of Alibaba Entrepreneurs Hong Kong Fund; and Ada Yip, Cofounder, 43 Ventures.
