Professor Paul Romer, a University of Chicago alumnus and former faculty member, was awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2018. Professor Romer is a University of Chicago alumnus and former faculty member.  He received a BSc in Math and PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. He also served as a professor of economics from 1988 – 1990.
