UChicago Medicine Children's Hospital has provided comprehensive, innovative medical care to children since it opened its first pediatric facility in 1930. UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital, a 172-bed acute care hospital that opened in 2005, continues to unite advanced technology with a family-centered, kid-friendly philosophy to provide state-of-the-art care for all children. Recently, Comer Children’s Hospital has been ranked among the best nationwide in four pediatric specialties in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018-19 “Best Children’s Hospitals” report. Especially, our experienced team of pediatric cancer specialists provides the most advanced care available to more than 3,000 young people each year.
